Director, Product Design - Design System: Southern New Hampshire University, Office of Program and Product Innovation | 2020 - 2023

Successfully formed, managed, and mentored a multi-talented interdisciplinary team incorporating specialists in components, motion/animation, learner experience, freelancers, and video with a collaborative approach and growth mind-set for the design system.

  • Crafted a multi-level scalable design system with over 580 assets based on atomic design principles on an Angular framework for a greenfield environment from scratch in 9 months.
  • Created, contributed to, and maintained over 10 interlaced Figma libraries about the design system. Maintained compliance with established pattern libraries and usage guidelines.
  • Introduced the successful implementation of Storybook, Chromatic, and tokens for Google front and back-end development partners resulting in efficiency, uniformity, and ease of coding between vendors and internal teams.

Associate Professor of Art & Design: Institute of Art and Design at New England College (NEC), Formerly New Hampshire Institute of Art (NHIA) | 2012 – 2020

Lead curricular planning and development, addressing associated issues, updating course offerings to reflect industry trends and student wants to continuously improve the student experience, including championing new technologies and implementing across 7+ majors. Contributed to translating existing course catalog to online offerings.

  • Brought UX principles to the existing website, recreating a new site that fulfilled multiple department requirements and increased engagement by 200%.
  • Led successful rebranding effort to bring the institutions brand up-to-date and appeal to target markets, created unified series of supporting marketing materials which extended to a new website and maintenance, created major specific publications, social media campaigns, and created over 20 plus exhibition graphics.
  • Maintained the institution’s visual assets, brand essentials, and style guide, as well as fielding media and department requests.
